Phyllis B. Knobe Steen 84, of Hanover, died Monday November 10, 2014 at Homewood at Plum Creek.
Born on July 12, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Fannie B. Knobe. She lived most of her life in Baltimore County before moving to Hanover in 2007.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, she later earned her Master’s Degree from the Northeast Missouri State Teachers College and remained there as a teacher for several years. She was employed by the Prince George’s County School District in Baltimore County as a Physical Education teacher for many years before her retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, McCullough G. Steen of Hanover. She was preceded in death by her sister, LaRue K. Byrd.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
