Pauline W. Small, 98, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Hanover Hall.
Born January 4, 1914 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Elmer R. and Mabel J. Gise Wentz, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Small, who died in 1994; and two brothers, Roy and Edgar Wentz. She was a member of St. Paul’s (Broadway) Lutheran Church.
Pauline retired in 1970 from Doubleday after 23 years of service and was a member of AARP’s Hanover chapter. She enjoyed traveling and has been to all 50 states.
Survivors include two brothers, Earl Wentz of Accident, MD and Raymond Wentz and his wife, Gladys, of Hanover; two sisters, Dorothy Black of Manchester, MD and Helen Ayers of Hanover; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Terrence McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held 10:30 – 11:30 am Saturday at the funeral home.
