Pauline M. Kerchner, 85, of Hanover, beloved wife of Lester W. Kerchner, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Hanover Hospital.
Born on Tuesday, March 18, 1930 in Brodbecks, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Vergie Albright Waltemyer. She was a 1947 graduate of Codorus Twp. High School.
Mrs. Kerchner was a former employee of the Middleburg Sewing Factory and McCrory’s Department Store. She spent most of her time being a devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving, in addition her husband of 67 years, is a daughter, Sandra K. Masenheimer of Hanover; two sons, Terry L. Kerchner and his wife, Dalia, of New Oxford and Lynn L. Kerchner of Duluth, GA; two grandchildren, Valerie Mantz and Ian Kerchner; and two great-grandsons, Dalton and Caleb Mantz. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Kerchner.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Paula Murray officiating. Burial will follow in St. Jacob’s (Stone) Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held one hour prior to the service.
