Services: The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Panebaker Funeral Home with The Rev. Carroll Luckenbaugh officiating. The committal service will beat 1:30 PM Saturday in the Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster, MD. A celebration of Paul’s life will be observed at 3:00 PM Saturday at Genesis The Gettysburg Center.
Visitation: The viewings will take place 6:30-8:00 PM Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Paul M. Reifsnider, Sr., 78, of Gettysburg, formerly of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Gettysburg Hospital.Born February 20, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Guy M. and Madeline Warner Reifsnider and was a husband of the late Arlene K. Mummert who died in 2003. Mr. Reifsnider retired in 1995 from Hanover Terminal, Inc. where he was a truck driver. He served with the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Westminster, MD, Hanover VFW Post #2506,the Loyal Order of the Moose #227 and was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post #22.Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia M. Davis of Jacobus and Robin Robinson of Gettysburg; two sons, Paul M. Reifsnider, Jr. of WA and Eugene Reifsnider of Smithsburg, MD; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a special caregiver and family member, Bobbi.
