Paul M. Pittinger, Jr., 77, of Hanover, husband of Donna Hansen Pittinger, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his home.
Born on Monday, January 10, 1944 in Hanover, he was a son of Gladys Eileen Musselman of Hanover and the late Paul Maus Pittinger, Sr. He was a graduate of the York Vocational School and was later employed as an automobile salesperson for more than 20 years. He will be long remembered as the owner of Pit’s Tavern in Hanover. Paul enjoyed playing pool and cards, and walking around Hanover. In his earlier years, he enjoyed drag racing. He was a member of the Hanover Eagles Aerie #1406, the Hanover Home Association and the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14.
In addition to his wife of 58 years and his mother, survivors include Paul M. Pittinger, III and his wife, Diane, of Hanover and Bradley W. Pittinger of Gettysburg, two grandchildren, Jessica Housaman and her husband, Jeff and Paul M. Pittinger, IV and his wife, Jessica; four great-grandchildren, Aiden and Riley Housaman, and Connor and Charlee Pittinger; two brothers, Randy Pittinger and Scott Pittinger and his wife, Robin; ex-daughter-in-law, Wanda Pittinger, all of Hanover; a former daughter-in-law, Wanda Pittinger; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Butler.
