Patricia Ann Wakefield Zinn, 67, of Hanover, died peacefully with family by her side, on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at UPMC Hanover following a sudden illness.
Born on Saturday, April 10, 1954 in York, she was a daughter of the late Eugene C. and Betty M. Fry Wakefield. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, George W. Swartz II, Jr. and her beloved dog, Stuart.
She was extremely devoted to her family and her friends. Her grandchildren were her biggest joy and she loved her name “Nanny.” An avid reader, she loved to relax at the beach. Christmas was her favorite holiday and would begin decorating immediately after Thanksgiving.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Zinn of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Janice Swartz and her husband, George; a son, Jason Zinn and his wife, Lesley, all of Hanover; eight grandchildren, Tavin Zinn, Tavion Gamble, Tavonte Gamble and Tavon Gamble, Parker Zinn, Gracyn Zinn, George R. Swartz, III and John Swartz; a sister, Sandra J. DeLong and her husband, Robin Ruth, of Thomasville; two nephews; a niece; and her dog, Luna.
The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, concluding with a Celebration of Life service being held at 6pm with Certified Celebrant, Kasie J. Morris, officiating.
