Patricia A. Heidler, 66, of Hanover, PA, formerly of Shawnee, KS, entered into God's eternal care 7:10 A.M. Thursday morning, April 29, 2008, at York Hospital, York, PA. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Heidler, who died November 11, 1997. Born in Hanover, PA on April 22, 1942, she was the daughter of Harry P. Hesson of Hanover and the late Margaret Bootie (Vogt) Hesson. Mrs. Heidler graduated from Eichelberger High School in Hanover with the class of 1960, she then attended Catawba College, Salisbury, NC earning a B.S. Degree in English in 1965. While at Catawba College she met and married Kenneth in 1963. The Heidler's eventually moved to Kansas where Mrs. Heidler accepted a position as a teacher at Turner High School, Kansas City, KS. She taught English for 31 years. Following the death of her husband, she moved back to Hanover. Mrs. Heidler became an active member of the community by serving as a Past Director of the Hanover Area Council of Churches PAL Lunch Ministry, as a volunteer at the Hanover Hospital Auxiliary, the American Red Cross and American Cancer Society. She also became a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Hanover Lodge #763, VFW Auxiliary Hanover Post 2506, Amvets Hanover Post #22, and the Loyal Order of Moose Hanover Lodge #227. In addition to her father, she is survived by a son Kyle H. Heidler of Buffalo, MO, a brother Charles Hesson and a sister JoAnne Garrett both of Hanover.
