Olive M. “Ollie” Weaver, 79, formerly of McSherrystown, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville.
Born July 9, 1931 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Oliver H. and Jeanette Gallagher Britcher. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert T. Sheaffer, who died in 1958; her second husband, Robert F. “Tod” Weaver, who died in 2001; a step-daughter, Patti Nimeshein; two brothers, Irl Thomas Britcher and Richard Britcher; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters.
Mrs. Weaver was a 1949 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, where she was a member of the 49ers, and was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Knights of Columbus, and was a volunteer at Hanover Hospital.
Survivors include eleven children, Ellen Biesecker of Hanover, Mary Krastel of Baltimore, MD, David F. Weaver and Sara Zartman both of Hanover, Thomas Sheaffer of McSherrystown, Elizabeth Livelsberger of Edgegrove, Constance Chandler of New Freedom, Robert Sheaffer of Dover, Ann George of New Oxford, Joseph Sheaffer of New Chester, and Theresa Ehrig of Titusville, FL; two brothers, Charles O. Britcher of Hanover and James H. Britcher of New Oxford; 23 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, November 19, 2010 at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 220 Third Avenue, Hanover by The Rev. John A. Szada, Jr. Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 10-11:00 AM Friday at the church.
