Norman G. Sabaka, 69, of Hanover, beloved husband of Judy Sabaka, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover.
Born on Friday, September 17, 1948 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late George and Helen Lamb Sabaka. After graduating first in his welding class with a 4.0 grade point average from York County Vocational School, he attended Columbia Technical Institute in Arlington, VA. In 2007, he retired from Harley-Davidson after 20 years of service. Norman was a car enthusiast and gifted metalworker who enjoyed working with his hands. He loved his dogs especially his Sheltie, Cuddles.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 46 years, is a sister, Joan Larsen and her husband, Walt of Lititz; a sister-in-law, Susan Wentzel and her husband, Randy, of Allentown; two nephews, Walter Larsen of Lititz and Mark Wentzel of Bethlehem; a niece, Tricia Ballingall and her husband, Bill, of Westfield, NJ; one great niece and three great nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Sabaka.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 27, 2018 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with Mr. Bill Ballingall officiating.
