Nilda Serrano Young, 73, of Hanover, beloved wife of Larry J. Young, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at her home.
Born on Thursday, June 22, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Ignacia Serrano. Nilda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother with her grandchildren being her entire world. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, R&B music, and watching HGTV and the I.D. network. Nilda loved magnolias, frogs, and gardening.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 43 years, are two children, Joseph Threatt and his wife, Hope, and Bri Young and her partner, Heather Howard; two step daughters, Trinette and Sherrie Young; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Serrano Ray and her husband, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
