Naomi W. Strevig, 90, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Homewood at Plum Creek.

Born on Wednesday, June 6, 1923 in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late B. Frank and Hattie Furhman Wampler and wife of 67 years to the late John J. Strevig, who died in 2009. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Utermahlen and a brother, Charles Wampler.

A 1941 graduate of Westminster High School, she lived with her husband and family in Littlestown for most of her life. She was a member of Redeemer’s United Church of Christ and together with her husband, she owned and operated the former Villa Pizza.

She is survived by two sons, John A. Strevig and his wife, Judy of McSherrystown and Steve C. Strevig and his wife, Elaine of Hanover; four grandchildren, Gregory Strevig and his wife, Lynn, Andrew Strevig and his wife, Jeannie, Jennifer Greening and her husband, Chris and Emily Foster and her husband, Bill; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; a brother Dallas Wampler of Westminster, MD and several nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Littlestown with The Rev. Joel B. Hummel officiating.
