Naomi G. McMaster, 90, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Cross Keys Village-The Brethren Home Community.
Born on Tuesday, July 12, 1931 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Melvin S. and Grace Toomey Hoff. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John R. McMaster, who died in 1997; a son, John R. McMaster, Jr.; a daughter, Linda Sandruck; sisters, Marie Eck, Esther Wilt and Jane Aughenbaugh; and brothers, Raymond, Richard, Kenneth, Robert, Walter, Leroy and Donald Hoff. She was a member of Mount Carmel Lutheran Church, where she and her late husband served as sextons. Naomi was a former employee of the Broadway Diner, Noel’s Potato Chip Factory, Malcolm Mills, Antonio’s Restaurant and retired from Lutheran Social Services as the head of housekeeping. She enjoyed snowmobiling, reading, gardening, camping and traveling.
Survivors include four children, Brian McMaster and his wife, Janet, of Goose Creek, SC, Scott McMaster and his wife, Tina, of Hanover, Kathy Ulrich and her husband, Jerry, of Franklintown, and Laura Taylor and her husband, Brian, of Dillsburg; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Janet Stein and her husband, Tom, and Joanne Martz, all of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Mount Carmel Lutheran Church with The Rev. David L. DeLong officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service.
