Nancy A. Briggs, 74, of Spring Grove, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy.
Born on Saturday, December 19, 1942 in Irvington, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Helena McGinley Dempsey. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Paul Briggs, Jr., who died in 2009; a great-granddaughter, Ariel Eluria Rautzhan; a sister, Delores Keselicka; and a brother, Patrick Dempsey. A member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Hanover, the Hanover Chapter of The Order of the Eastern Star #378 and The Order of the Amaranth, Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include four children, Paul Briggs, III, of Hanover, Cherie Eveler and her husband, Todd, of Myerstown, Robin Bowman and her husband, Dave, of Spring Grove, and Scott Briggs and his wife, Adrienne, of Jefferson Hills; seven grandchildren, Alexandria Helena Rautzhan, Paul Briggs, IV, Nathaniel and Jeremiah Bowman, Jared Gichner, and Adam and Caileigh Briggs; a great-grandson, Chase Briggs; and three brothers, Ed, John, and Joe Dempsey.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2pm on October 21, 2017 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 890 McCosh Street, Hanover with The Rev. Liz Huskey Simmons officiating.
