Myrtle R. Heindel, 94, formerly of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Cross Keys Village—The Brethren Home Community following a period of declining health.
Born on August 17, 1917 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Millheim Wildasin and wife of the late Wilmer H. Heindel, who died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by a brother Melvin Wildasin.
A retiree from Doubleday Publishing, she had also been employed by Middleburg as a seamstress for many years. She had artful skills with her hands and enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting and gardening. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, attending there since before she was 12.
She is survived by her son, Lee Edward Heindel and his wife, Mary Belle of Madison, WI; two grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer; and a brother, John P. Wildasin of Hanover.
A graveside service will be held at 10 am Monday, April 9, 2012 at Rest Haven Cemetery with The Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating.
