Minerva L. Diviney
Minerva L. Diviney, 91, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at UPMC Hanover Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born on Sunday, April 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Delma Gross Bowersox. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Diviney, who died in 2017; and a sister, Betty Baer.
A 1948 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Minerva worked as a secretary for 5 years before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the American Colonists. Minerva enjoyed watching sports and game shows, quilting, knitting, and cross stitching.
Survivors include her son, Thomas S. Diviney and his wife, Elaine, of Westminster, MD; and two grandchildren, Allison Diviney, of Parkville, MD, and Shawn Diviney, of Shrewsbury, PA.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
