Services: A memorial mass to celebrate and remember his life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church , 5125 Grandview Rd., Hanover
Visitation: Visitation will be at the church Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Milton A. Reaver, 80, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 1:20 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, September 5, 2007 at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Wolf) Myers Reaver who died June 10, 2003 Born in Harney, MD on November 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Vernon C. and Clara E. Boyd Reaver. Milton had retired as a Foreman for the Diamond Construction Company, Gaithersburg, MD. During World War II, he served as an Army Sergeant with the Signal Corps in the South Pacific and the Army of Occupation in Japan. Milt will forever be remembered as a kind and gentle person who had a warm smile and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He served the Hanover community as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the American Legion Baseball team at Diller Field, and as a member of the Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Milt was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Hanover Lodge #763, Hanover Republican Club, Hanover Amvets, New Oxford Social Club and was a life member of both the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14 and the McSherrystown Home Association. He will be sadly missed by his step sons James R. Myers of Carlisle, Francis J. Myers of Manassas, VA, step daughter Mary L. Frazer of Hanover, 21 step grandchildren, 37 step great granchildren, and 4 step great great grandchildren. Milt was also preceded in death by twin step daughters Joan Sinnett and Jean Myers. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery with military honors by the Allied Veterans Honor Guard. The Rev. Timothy D. Marco will serve as celebrant.
