Mildred G. Little, 95, of Hanover, beloved wife of Leroy D. “Bud” Little, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Homewood at Plum Creek.
Born on Tuesday, April 27, 1920 in Jefferson, York County, she was the daughter of the late Etta Seigman Garrett Wildasin, and step-daughter of the late, John Wildasin. She was a graduate of Codorus High School.
Mrs. Little was a former employee of HanoverDirect, Inc., Peggy’s Boutique and the May-Pearl Shop. A member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was a longtime volunteer in the Hanover Hospital Gift Shop and could be seen delivering newspapers to patient rooms. She was very fashionable and always dressed well.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 73 years, are two daughters, Norma Little Lesher and her husband, Fred, of Hanover, and Nancy L. Payne and her husband, William, of Media; three grandchildren, Scott A. Lesher and his wife, Deanna, Sheri L. Lesher, and Leann J. Payne; and one great-grandson, Christopher S. Lesher.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Homewood Chapel at Plum Creek with The Rev. Joel B. Hummel officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 am Tuesday at the chapel and at a reception immediately following the service. Burial will be held privately in Rest Haven Cemetery.
