The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Grace United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard and Rev. Richard Benner officiating. Burial will follow in the New Oxford Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn, Ben, Micah, and Brad Fleming, Matthew Reynolds, and Glenn W. Phillips, Jr.
Visitation: There is no viewing planned at this time.
Born, November 20, 1919, in Littlestown, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Mary Belle Collins Morehead, and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Morehead and John Morehead. Mrs. Phillips was a 1939 graduate of Littlestown High School and was a member of Grace United Church of Christ. Her full time employment was raising her children and providing a good home, but she did work part-time at Value City and JC Penney in Hanover. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed baking and crocheting.
