Mary Jane Maus

Mary Jane Maus, 84, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Cross Keys Village—The Brethren Home Community.



Born on January 17, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John and Clara Berkheimer Myers and wife of late Elmo R. Maus, who died in 1987. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Maus.



Mrs. Maus was employed by Snyders of Hanover, Inc. for more than 20 years, retiring in the early 1990’s. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. She loved being with her family and often traveled with her siblings and found enjoyment along the beaches of the eastern shores. She was a loving, caring and nurturing mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren are going to sadly miss her, but will remain in their hearts and memories forever. “ We love you mom and grandma.”



Survivors include two sons, Thomas Maus and his wife, Virginia and Terry Maus, all of Hanover; a daughter, Sharon Sharp and her husband, Daniel Sharp, Jr. of Newburgh, NY; four grandchildren, David Maus, Garry Maus, Daniel Sharp, III and Arielle Sharp; three great-grandchildren, Christian Maus, Natalee Maus and Boden Maus; two brothers, Robert Myers and his wife, Shirley of Hanover and Willis Myers and his wife, Virginia of Littlestown; and two sisters, Gladys Reck and her husband, Max of New Oxford and Helen Klunk and her husband Hugh of Hanover.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with The Rev. John A. Szada, Jr. officiating. Burial will be held 10:00 am Saturday in St. Joseph Cemetery. The viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover with the Rosary be recited at 8 pm
