Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM Monday, June 8, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by The Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Mark Keffer, Stephen Keffer, Phillip Keffer, Tim Keffer, John Keffer, and David Webster.
Visitation: A viewing will be held 6-8:00PM Sunday, June 7, 2009 with the Rosary being said at 8:00PM at the Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. There will be an additional viewing one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mary Jane Livelsberger Keffer, 93, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Homewood at Plum Creek.Born December 24, 1915 in McSherrystown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence E. “Pat” and Mary Catherine Small Livelsberger and was also preceded in death by her husband of more than 64 years, Ralph C. Keffer who died in 1998 and a son, Paul A. Keffer, who died in 1976.Mrs. Keffer was a 1933 graduate of Central Catholic High School in McSherrystown. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she had been active with the N.C.C.W., the Altar Rosary Society and had served as a Eucharistic minister.Survivors include her ten children, Charles Keffer and his wife Dorothy of Great Falls, VA, Ralph Keffer and his wife Carol of Paoli, PA, Larry Keffer and his wife Pat of Danbury, CT, Roy Keffer and his wife Linda of Lewisville, TX, James Keffer and his wife Betty of Lawrenceville, GA, Mary Keffer Webster and her husband Joe of Herndon, VA, Ruth Keffer Neiderer and her husband Jim of Dayton, NV, Joanne Keffer Couse and her husband Tom of Jackson, NJ, Michael Keffer and his wife Sue of Hanover, and George Keffer and his wife Lori of Lawrence, KS; five brothers and sisters, Anna Bevenour of Littlestown, John Livelsberger and Agnes Kale both of Hanover, William Livelsberger of Limerick, PA and Thomas Livelsberger of Batavia, IL, 35 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
