Mary Lee Hosey

Mary Lee Hosey, 90, of Gettysburg, entered into God’s eternal care Thursday morning, March 31, 2011 at Green Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Gettysburg.

Born August 16, 1920 in Staunton, VA, she was a daughter of the late Henry C. Bettie Elizabeth Wiseman Kellison. The last surviving member of her generation, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Roosevelt Hosey; a daughter, Lorraine Hosey; and a granddaughter, Joyce Marie Holzer, .

Mrs. Hosey was a former employee at Gettysburg Shoe Factory and the former Musselman’s Foods. A devoted member of the Gettysburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, she enjoyed reading her Bible and was a member of the “Red Hat Society” at Green Acres.

Survivors include her son, Dallas Eugene Kellison, Sr. of Bumpass, VA; her daughter, Betty Kathleen Fowler of Gettysburg; six grandchildren, Everett Lee Thomas, Jr., Billy Ray Kellison, Randy William Kellison, Dallas Eugene Kellison, Jr., Dallas Thorn and Mickey Thorn; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Flohr’s Evangelical Lutheran Church,595 Flohr's Church Road, McKnightstown with The Rev. John S. Goff officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church.
