Mary Jane Foreman, 88, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 9:25 A.M. Friday morning, June 13, 2008 at Homewood at Plumcreek. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Foreman who died January 22, 1989. Born in Harrisburg on January 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Sadie Rohrbaugh Hamm. Mary Jane had been employed for many years at Witman's Pharmacy on Frederick Street in Hanover. She was a member of the class of 1937, Eichelberger Senior HIgh School, a charter member of the Amvets Auxilliary, a member of the Y Wives, AARP chapter 1842, The Happy Homemakers, and the Elks Auxiliary. Mary Jane was a lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ and belonged to the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. Surviving are two loving sons and their wives, William K. and Judith of McSherrystown, Robert L. and Caron of York, five grandchildren and their spouses Robert C. and wife Cynthia of New Hope, PA, Leighanne and husband Todd McGonigal of Palmyra, Denise and husband Bradley Geiman of Hanover, Jill and husband Sean Farrell of Mechanicsburg, James and wife Tricia Foreman of Tacoma, WA, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers Earl Hamm, Harry Hamm, William Hamm and a sister Anna Hamm. A service of Christian burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 116 York St., Hanover. Friends may call at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Officiating will be The Rev. Karen Stork-Whitson and assisted by The Rev. Gregory Knepp, Mary Jane's great nephew.Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover is assisting the family with the arrangements. Serving as Pallbearers will be James Foreman, Rob Foreman, Brad Geiman, Todd McGonigal, Andrew Foreman, Liam Farrell, and Sean Farrell.
