Mary E. Dickerson, 79, of Hanover, beloved wife of James F. Dickerson, Sr., peacefully entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her home.
Born on Thursday, June 3, 1943 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Miles L. Anthony and Mary Frederick Rew. For 44 years, Mary thoroughly enjoyed her chosen profession as a school bus driver. Gifted with her hands, she enjoyed gardening, ceramics and crafting. She deeply loved animals and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, survivors include a son, James Frank Dickerson, Jr. of Pasadena, MD; two daughters, Diana Katherine Glenn and her husband, Michael, and Rebecca Lynn Sheaffer and her husband, Matthew, all of Hanover; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn C. Bildstein.
A private service will be held with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
