Mary “Caroline” Coble Blettner, 96, of New Oxford, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community.
Born on Wednesday, April 28, 1920 in Elizabethtown, she was a daughter of the late Mae Elizabeth Gainer Garrett. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard C. Blettner, who died in 1998; and a brother, Henry A. Coble, who died in 1979. She was a 1937 graduate of Eichelberger High School and a lifelong member of Grace United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Richard L. Blettner and his wife Linda, of Hanover; a granddaughter, Jessica Staub and her husband, Rene, of McSherrystown; a great-grandson, Dylan Staub; and a sister, Dorothy J. Wintrode of The Brethren Home Community.
As per her request, the funeral will be held privately. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
