Mary A. Caler, 80, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care died Friday, April 5, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.

Born on March 25, 1933 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late George Trish, Sr. and Rebecca Rutters Trish Eckard and wife of the late Joseph D. Caler, who died in 2008. She was also preceded in death by a half-brother, Robert Eckard.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Hanover Foods. She was an avid Orioles fan and enjoyed vacationing with her close knit family especially to Beaufort, S.C. as well as their annual weekend trip to Knoebel's Grove and spending time with her family on weekends. She was a member of the Organ Club of Hanover and cherished the friendships that she had in that group.

She is survived by four sons, William Trostle of Spring Grove, Steven Trostle of York, Daniel Caler and Andrew Caler, both of Hanover; two daughters, Kathryn Prince of Glenville and Laurie Wagaman of Hanover; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Kelly of Taneytown, MD and a brother, George Trish, Jr. of Gettysburg.

The funeral will be held 11 am Friday, April 12, 2013 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Kevin Orewiler and The Rev. Bob Larkin officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
