Marvin W. "Marv" Wright

Marvin W. “Marv” Wright, 73, of Spring Grove, loving husband of Lisa Wainwright Wright, entered into Gods eternal care on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at UPMC Hanover.

Born on Wednesday, November 21, 1951 in Woodbine MD, he was a son of Truman W. and Mary A. Wetzel Wright. In addition to his parents, Marv was preceded in death by a daughter, Lauren Flanigan; one sister, Charlotte Chester; and a brother, William “Bill” Wright. He was a graduate of South Carroll High School in Sykesville and was employed by Chugach Government Solutions for the Department of Defense. Marv was a tractor and car enthusiast, who enjoyed going to the ocean and spending time with family and his Rottweilers. He had a true passion for history, specifically the Civil War, and was an avid Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles fan.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 34 years, is a daughter, Cathy Danish and her husband, Kurt; a son, Blane Wright and his wife, Stacy; a son-in-law, Alex Flanigan; two sisters, Ginny Jones and her husband, Howard, Linda Chrest and her husband, Larry; and three granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on May 10, 2025 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
