Mark Edward Wonder, 52, of Erwin, TN and formerly of Hanover, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 31, 2014 in Erwin.
Born on Wednesday, February 21, 1962 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Donald H. and Louise P. Forbes Wonder. He had attended South Western High School and was a self employed carpenter. In the last years, Mark was devoted in caring for his father in Tennessee until his father’s passing in 2013. Mark was always known for his smile, laughter, positive attitude and laid back, easy going manner. He was a selfless, devoted father, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include one son, Baylen M. Wonder of Erwin, TN; five siblings, Sharon A. Metzger and her husband, Eugene, of Hanover, Sandra S. Bollinger and her husband, Jeffrey, of Vero Beach, Robert D. Wonder and his wife, Dee, of New Oxford, Shella M. Brattain and her husband, Michael, of Algonac, MI, and Steven E. Wonder of Miami, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 7, 2014 at Harvest Time Temple, 700 Black Rock Road, Hanover with Pastor Robert D. Wonder officiating. Burial will follow in York Road Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 am Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331 to assist with the final expenses.
