Mark Alan Grim

Mark Alan Grim, 42, of Hanover, beloved husband of Jessica R. (McMaster) Ahrens-Grim, entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at York Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.



Born on Monday, December 31, 1973 in Hanover, he was a son of Jack E. Grim and Linda (Kohr) Golden-Noel and step-son of Ann Grim and Francis Noel, Jr., all of Hanover. He was a 1992 graduate of the York County School of Technology and had attended DeVry University in Columbus, Ohio.



Mark was an employee of the Hanover Public School District and had attended the Hanover First Church of God and the Intersection Church in Gettysburg. He was an 18 year member of the Eagle Fire Company and the Fire Police Association. He was also a member of the McSherrystown Loyal Order of Moose #720 and was an active volunteer with the Provide-A-Lunch program and the Mason Dixon Youth for Christ.



In addition to his wife, parents and step-parents, survivors include his four loving step-children whom he considered his own, Joey, Dillon, Kacie and Elsie Ahrens; brother, Eric B. Grim and his fiancée, Agnes Wagaman, all of Hanover; half-brother, Jonathan Grim and his wife, Megan; half-sisters, Alicia Keeler and her husband, Dan, and Rebecca Grim; step-brothers, Owen Golden and his companion, Tammy Wise, and Mark Golden; step-sisters, Tina Knotts and her husband, David, Rebecca Thoman and her husband, Keith, Janice Diviney and her husband, Dan, Gail Koller and her husband, Mike, Kelly Golden and her companion, Mike Krone, and Tracy Golden. Mark was preceded in death by a step-father, Fred Golden, and a step-brother, Bruce Golden.



The memorial service will be held at 3 pm Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Intersection Church, 1980 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325 with Chaplain Gary Grecco and Pastor Jeremiah Herbert officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 3 to 6 pm Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mason Dixon Youth for Christ, 889 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA 17331 or to Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331 to help defray the final expenses.
