Marjorie A. Berwager

Marjorie Anne Berwager, 94, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Spiritrust Lutheran The Village at Utz Terrace.

Born on Sunday, April 6, 1930 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Archie R. and Rosella E. Garrett Zentz. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ivan H. Berwager, who died in 2009; a son, Michael E. Berwager; twin sons, James and Ray Berwager; and a sister, Carolyn Fuhrman. Marjorie was a bookkeeper at the former Berwager and Hempfing Garage in Hanover for many years and was later employed at Kleffel’s Department Store. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and took great pride in raising her eight children.

Marjorie is survived by seven children, Ivan Berwager, Jr. and his wife, Theresea, of Greenville, SC, Bonnie E. Smith and her husband, Mark, of Meridian, ID, Stephen D. Berwager of Waynesville, NC, Thomas E. Berwager and his wife, Debra, Timothy A. Berwager and his wife, Sheri, all of Hanover, Gloria A. Brabham and her husband, Herbert, of Lansdowne, PA and Deborah K. Miller and her husband, Kevin, of Spring Grove; a sister, Marian Trimmer and her husband, Bob, of New Oxford; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Calvary Bible Church in Hanover with The Rev. Dominic Aquilino officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the service.
