Marion C. Stauffer, 88, of Hanover entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Homewood at Plum Creek.Born on Wednesday, April 17, 1927 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Margaret Swartz Klunk. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Beryl D. Stauffer, who died in 2008; a brother, Phillip Klunk; and sisters, Janet Hertz, Catherine Jane Price and Margaret Marie McKean. She was a 1945 graduate of Eichelberger High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Marion was a former employee of The Hub Dress Shop and Freeman Shoe. She was a loving grandmother who also enjoyed the company of her friends. She was part of a musical family and took great pleasure in participating in their events.Survivors include two daughters, Susan L. Stauffer of Hanover, and Sharon L.S. Mazion and her husband, Leigh, of Edina, MN; two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Isabella Mazion; and a sister, Lois Leonard of Fort Pierce, FL.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover celebrated by The Rev. Ryan M. Fischer. Burial will follow in York Road Cemetery.The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 pm Monday at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover and one hour prior to the service at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Homewood at Plum Creek Benevolence Fund; 425 Westminster Avenue; Hanover, PA 17331.
