Marion Francis “Eck” Kagarise, 86, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Lorien Taneytown.
Born on Thursday, August 12, 1937 in Bedford, PA, he was a former longtime resident of Littlestown and had lived in Great Falls, Montana in his later years. A son of the late Willard and Bertha Grace Colebaugh Kagarise, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Lena Ann Hall Kagarise, who died in 1997; a son, David Kagarise; a granddaughter, Heather Kagarise; two brothers, Larry and Bill Kagarise; and a sister, Geraldine Kagarise. Mr. Kagarise was a graduate of Eichelberger High School and retired from the Cement Masons Union Local #592 in 2000 after 32 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover and proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1954 to 1962. He was also a member of the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2506.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Kagarise and his wife, Mary Jane, and Steven Kagarise and his wife, Diane; a daughter, Rebecca Kagarise Stoner; a daughter-in-law, Deb Kagarise, all of Littlestown; ten grandchildren, Corby, James, Jarrett, Thomas, Cody, Matthew, Janelle, Ryan, Sydney and Ava; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, John Kagarise and his wife, Helen, of Great Falls, MT; a sister, Dot Yingling of Hanover; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
