Marian Louise Miller, 87, of Hanover, loving wife of Allan T. “Tom” Miller, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born on Sunday, October 20, 1929 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Ranabelle Meckley Keeney. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Markle; and a brother, Norman Keeney, Jr. Mrs. Miller was a former employee of Doubleday Publishing and retired from Rental Uniform Service in 1997 after 27 years of service. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and was a former active member of the YWCA. She enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips, and in her younger years, was an avid bowler.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 67 years, are three children, Linda A. Markle and her husband, Bill, of Gettysburg, Scott T. Miller and his wife, Holly, and Christopher J. Miller and his wife, Wanda, all of Hanover; five grandchildren, Corey Markle and his wife, Megan, of Gettysburg, Eric Markle and his wife, Amanda, of Biglerville, Mark Robinson and his wife, Luana, of McSherrystown, Meleah Lewis and her husband, John, of York, and Billy Miller of Hanover; four great-grandchildren, Aisling and Harrison Markle, and Maya and Jocylin Robinson; a brother, James Keeney and his wife, Pat, of Hanover; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser and The Rev. Faye Snyder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor. Inurnment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
