Margaret Viola Knott Timmerman, 87, of Hanover, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at her home.
Born on September 15, 1936, in Thurmont, MD, she was a daughter of the late Charles Anthony Knott and Ruth Ida Daywalt Knott. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Carl Timmerman; two daughters, Marian Marie and Carolyn Elaine Timmerman; four brothers, Charles M., Richard, John, and Merle Knott; two sisters, Dorothy Condon and Beulah Portner Knott; sister in laws, Mary Doris Knott and Doris M. Knott; brother in laws, Leo Keepers and Robert Condon. Margaret loved roses, cats, birds, and all animals. She enjoyed growing flowers, baking, sewing, and reading.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Louise Corley (Timmerman), and her husband, James Ray Corley, of Waynesville, MO; two grandchildren, Melody Valentina Corley and Jordan Douglas Corley and his wife, Olivia Lynnae, all of Waynesville, MO; a brother, Elmer Knott and his wife, Elaine, of Thurmont; two sisters, Rose Keepers, of Fairfield, and Ruth Knott, of Thurmont; sister in laws, Doris J. Knott, and Barbara Knott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM in the New St. Joseph Cemetery in Emmitsburg, MD.
