Services: A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Rd., Hanover.
Visitation: Viewing will be Friday morning at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Margaret M. Margie Noel, 81, of Hanover was called to her eternal life Wednesday morning, June 6, 2007 at Hanover Hall. Margaret was born in Hanover on December 27, 1925, the only daughter of the late Joseph and Harriet Myers MacAvoy. She married Carroll J. Noel on March 2, 1946. Margie and Carroll were married 44 years until his death on April 24, 1990. On February 13, 1976, the Lord took their only son Thomas Allen to be cared for in his heavenly home. Margie is survived by three cousins she called her Girls; Carol Bortner, Peggy Shaffer, and Ann Louey also her beloved friend Robert Shank. They were all wonderful caretakers. In addition, she is survived by many other loved cousins and friends. Margie had been as a Customer Service Representative for the Bank of Hanover a position she held for 14 years until her retirement in 1991. An active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Margie had served on the Church Council, as a Eucharist Minister, sang in the Choir and was a member of the Grandview Seniors of St. Joseph's. She was also a member of the Hanover Elks Auxiliary and along with her husband Carroll; members of the original Hanover Community Singers. Margie graduated from Eichelberger High School with the class of 1943 and served as class president from 1993 to 1997. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Rd., Hanover. Viewing will be Friday morning at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Joseph F. Gotwalt will serve as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 440 N.
