Margaret Elizabeth March

Margaret E. "Peg" March, 91, of Hanover, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at her home.



Born on April 21, 1919 in Adams County, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Katie Ruhlman Davis and wife of the late Dale G. March, who died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her longtime friend and companion, Alex Jupin; her son and daughter, Rodney L. and Patsy March; two step-children, Paul March and Janet Group; two sisters, Betty Kopp and Nellie “Myrtle” Brown and a step-brother, Robert Jacoby.



She was the former owner of the Hanover School of Beauty Culture, worked many years at Veit Furniture and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Broadway in Hanover. She was also a member of the Hanover Lodge BPO Elks #763 and the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14 Auxiliaries.



She is survived by one step-son, Kenneth March of Mechanicsburg, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.



The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, with The Rev. Craig A. Lantz officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
