Margaret A. Keeney

Margaret A. Keeney, 70, of Spring Grove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at her home.

Born on Thursday, February 15, 1947 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Ralph J. and Dorothy Frommeyer Reaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Norman W. Keeney, Jr., who died in 2002; and two brothers, Leroy and James Reaver. She was a member of Annunciation BVM Church. Margaret was a caregiver with various long term care facilities in the Hanover area and retired from Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services in 2015. She loved cooking, baking, walking and caring for her pets.

Survivors include four children, Bonnie L. Vandersloot and her husband, John, of Hanover, Anthony Raymond Livelsberger, Sr. and his wife, Barbara, of Spring Grove, Timothy D. Livelsberger , and Ricky A. Livelsberger and his wife, Tina, all of Hanover; three grandchildren, Anthony “TJ” Livelsberger, Jr., Starr L. Livelsberger, and Jesse J. Livelsberger; a brother, Joseph Reaver of Hanover; eight sisters, Janet Gebhart of New Oxford, Sister Dorothy Marie Reaver, RSM of Exeter, Evelyn Sensening, Sarah Little, Eileen Sanders all of Littlestown, Ruth Kuhn of Hanover, Jane Smeak of New Oxford, and Theresa Reaver of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Annunciation BVM Church, 26 N. Third Street, McSherrystown with The Rev. Charles L. Persing celebrating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. A prayer service will follow at 8 pm.
