Margaret E. “Peggy” Duck, 86, of Hanover, loving wife of Robert L. Duck, Sr., entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, March 20, 2023 at her home.
Born on Friday, July 24, 1936 in Mummasburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul R. and Edith Raup Kline. A 1954 graduate of Eichelberger High School, she was a former employee of Hanover Shoe Company and retired from Osborn Printing in Biglerville in 1998. Peggy was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Hanover where she taught Discipleship classes and sang in church choir. She was also a member of the Hanover Community Singers.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 68 years, are six children, Linda A. Benadum of Hanover, Carol L. Greene and her husband, James of Littlestown, Robert L. Duck, Jr. and his wife, Cecilia, Timothy P. Duck and his wife, Laura, all of Hanover, David N. Duck and his wife, Kim, of South Haven, MS, and Kimberly M. Fuhrman of Abbottstown; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Loretta L. Bollinger of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor Ann Duck.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Hanover with The Rev. Dr. B. Michael Brossman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor.
