Margaret N. Brown, 99, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek.
Born on Wednesday, February 27, 1918 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Goldie A. Bish Noble. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ray P. Brown, who died in 1992; two brothers, Lester and Benjamin Noble; five half-brothers, Robert, Claude and Ira Noble, and Roy and Harry Zumbrum; one half-sister, Hilda Myers; and a step-sister, Ethel Graham. Margaret was a member of the St. David’s Lutheran Church, and the AARP Chapter #2812. She was a volunteer for PAL Lunch and in her younger days, was an active “Mall Walker” at the North Hanover Mall.
Survivors include her daughter, Monna B. Hormel and her husband, Terrence, of Marco Island, FL; her son, Lauren B. Brown and his wife, Joan, of Hanover; three grandchildren, Eric Hormel, Christopher Brown and Abbey Johnson; and five great-grandchildren, Ian and Mallory Hormel, Tanner and Haylee Brown and Maximus Johnson.
The funeral will be held at 2 PM Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. David’s Lutheran Church with The Rev. Ladonna E. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in St. David’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the cemetery committal service.
