Margaret Byrd Bare

Margaret Byrd Bare, 72, of York, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Wellspan York Hospital.

Born on Sunday, February 26, 1950 in Baltimore, MD she was a daughter of the late John Byrd and Sallie Potter Byrd Mummert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Bare. Margaret enjoyed crafts, baking, and making jewelry. She will be remembered for loving her family beyond anything else.

Survivors include her son, Charles James Bare, of York; five siblings, John David Byrd, of Spring Grove, Gordon Eugene Byrd, of Abbottstown, Richard Thomas Byrd and his wife, Margaret, of Spring Grove, Barbara Byrd Lippy and her husband, Dale, of Hanover, and Shirley Elaine Byrd Yost, of Gettysburg; eight nieces and nephews, Douglas Byrd and his wife, Norma, Sallie-Grace Lacher and her husband, Michael, Christina Byrd and her husband, Larry Gorman, Jedd Cheshier and his wife, Uliana, Hollie Pribble, Charlotte Byrd and her husband, Michael Hamous, John Byrd and his wife, Nikki, and Shane Byrd and his wife, Breanna Santiago.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 5 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc 311 Broadway. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
