M. Elizabeth “Bebe” Koehler, 99, of Cross Keys Village, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at The Brethren Home Community.
A native of Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Carroll D. and Elsie Knipple Erb. She was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Raymond H. “Butch” Koehler, who died in 2006; and a brother, Robert Erb.
Mrs. Koehler worked in the offices of the Narrow Ribbon Company and retired as an office worker with United Insurance. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, former volunteer with the Hanover Hospital Auxiliary, and was a former member of the Hanover Soroptimist Club. A very caring person, “Bebe” loved her family.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Barbara Koehler of Winchester, VA; two granddaughters, Annette Evans and Rebecca Lerman; four great-grandchildren, Kristen Combs, Jacob, Ava and Zachariah Lerman; a great-great-grandchild, Huntley Combs; a sister, Ruth Hall of New York City; two nieces, Susan and Jodie; and a nephew, Jim.
Mrs. Koehler will be laid to rest beside her husband at Rest Haven Cemetery where a graveside service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, December 30, 2014 with The Rev. Kathryn A. Schroeder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
