Lucille “Lucy” Brown, 92, of New Oxford, previously of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Cross Keys Village- The Brethren Home Community under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.
Born on Friday, November 30, 1928 in St. Louis, MO, she was a daughter of the late Aloysius and Ellen Foley Goellner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Elmo H. Brown; a daughter, Betty Lucy Brown; and two sisters, Helen and Doris Kitchin. A longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she worked as a secretary for the St. Bartholomew Consolidated School in Cincinnati for nearly 20 years before retiring in 1998.
Survivors include two nephews, John Kitchin and his wife, Carol, of St. Charles, MO and Billy Kitchin and his wife, Mindy, of Branson, MO; a niece, Stephanie Alberts, of St. Charles, MO; and beloved friends Marian and Robert Cadden, of Hanover.
In compliance with health and public safety directives, services for Lucy will be private.
