Louis William Traini, 92, formerly of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Gilchrist Hospice Center in Columbia, MD.
Born on Saturday, March 17, 1923 in Mahanoy City, PA, he was a son of the late Ferdinand and Mary Amadio Traini. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, to whom he was married for 45 years, Barbara Henrickson Traini, who died in 1988 and his second wife, to whom he was married for 22 years, Mary DePrince Traini, who died in 2011; his sister, Rose Lukach and a brother, Anthony Traini.
Mr. Traini retired in 1978 as a budget analyst for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he had been employed for 32 years. He was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and most recently was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Norristown. He served with the US Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include seven children, Michael S. Traini of Jessup, MD, Peter A. Traini of Wallingford, CT, J. Christopher Traini and his spouse, Jacqueline Branigan of N. Sunny Isles Beach, FL, M. Suzanne Klauenberg and her husband, Jeffrey of Laurel, MD, David J. Traini and his wife, Christina of Edgewater, MD, Keith P. Traini and his spouse, Pamela Weaver of York and Monica C. Traini of Swansboro, NC; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Wednesday, Sept.9, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road with The Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons serving as celebrant. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
