Services: A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, March 23rd, at St. Paul's(Dubs)United Church of Christ, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover.
Visitation: Viewings will be Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover and Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church.
Lloyd L. Myers, 94, of Hanover, PA entered into God's eternal care 3:00 a.m. Friday morning, March 16, 2007,at Hanover Hospital. He was the loving husband of Romaine Dubs Myers whoe died June 19, 2004 and Anna Gotwalt Myers who died April 6, 1982. Born in Codorus Township, York County on January 15, 1913, he was the son of the late George L. and Joanna H. Worley Myers. Lloyd retired from Hanover Shoe in 1978 after 35 years of service and then went to work at Cremer Florist for 12 years. He was an active and faithful member of St. Paul's(Dubs)United Church of Christ where he had been a member of the Golden Age Sunday School Class, a former member of the choir, taught Sunday School and had served on the social visitation committee for many years. Lloyd was also a member of the Hanover Exchange Club and received the club's Golden Deed Award in 1996, the York County Firemens Association, was a life member of the Grangeville Fire Co. , and was a former Red Cross Volunteer. He will be sadly missed by his stepdaughter Betty B. Cool and husband Edward of Hanover, 2 step granddaughters Donna Wolfe and husband Douglas, Sherry Meckley and husband Jeffrey, 5 great grandsons Ryan Wolfe, Andy Wolfe, Thomas, Jeremy and Justin Meckley, also nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, March 23rd, at St. Paul's(Dubs)United Church of Christ, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover. Viewings will be Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover and Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Rev. Earl Marks will officiate with Lloyd's nephew Rev. Carroll Luckenbaugh assisting. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's(Dubs)United Church of Christ, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover, PA 17331. Serving as pallbearers will be his five great grandsons Ryan Wolfe, Andy Wolfe, Thomas Meckley, Jeremy Meckley, and Justine Meckley.
