Linwood E. Folmer, 86, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Gettysburg.
Born on Sunday, October 26, 1930 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Jesse and Reba Palmer Folmer. A former truck driver for Central Trucking Inc., Linwood served in the US Army from 1948 to 1950 and was a member of St. Peter’s (Lischey’s) United Church of Christ in Spring Grove.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Noel and her husband ,Thomas, of Hanover, Cathy Bolden and her husband, Russell, of East Berlin, and Barbara Hull and her husband, Terry, of Florida; six grandchildren, Douglas Noel of Hanover, Brandi Hish and her husband, Jim, of Virginia, Jenny Shrader and her husband, Kevin, of Abbottstown, Ryan Noel of Hanover, Tim Bolden and his wife, Jobie, of Abbottstown, and Katie Hankey and her husband, Hayes, of York Springs; and seven great- grandchildren.
A private service is planned.
