Linda L. Piecuch, 67, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her home.
Born on Wednesday, January 28, 1948 in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Margaret Kendall Piecuch. She was a 1966 graduate of Marian High School in Birmingham, MI and received her Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College in Orchard Lake, MI in 1996. She had been a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Parish since moving to Hanover in 2001.
Linda retired, as a line supervisor, in 1989 from the General Motors Truck and Bus Division and was a former employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington.
Survivors include her daughter, Kendall Piecuch Poole and her husband (Joseph) of Hanover; five grandchildren, Savannah and her husband, Jacob, Bella, Sophia, Giuliana, and Mila; a great-grandson, Alec; a sister, Sharon Opfer and her husband, Neil; two brothers, Michael J. Piecuch and Gary D. Piecuch and his wife, Deborah; three nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Piecuch, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Friday, August 21, 2015 at St. Vincent dePaul Church celebrated by The Rev. Ryan M. Fischer. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 2pm Saturday at St. Aloysius Church Cemetery in Littlestown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Church, 220 Third Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
