Linda S. Goetz Orndorff, 71, of Hanover, wife of Edward L. Orndorff, entered into Heaven on June 22, 2023 at her home.
Born on Monday, October 1, 1951 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and June Walker Goetz. Linda retired after 30 years as a pre-kindergarten teacher at Little People and Early Bloomers Day Care. Having a heart for children, she served as a Girl Scout Leader for Troop 779 for many years.
Linda was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Company, was active with the West Manheim Recreation Association and served as a West Manheim Township Judge of Elections for over 34 years. She attended Hanover LCBC and was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she served as an usher and was active with Volunteers in Missions and many other committees.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Gauldin and her husband, Jay; a son, Chris Orndorff and his wife, Mary; four grandchildren, Parker Gauldin and his wife, Amber, Blake Gauldin, and Cleo and Camryn Orndorff; and step-granddaughter, Alexia Mort, all of Hanover. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Goetz.
The funeral will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway in Hanover with The Rev. Dan Puz officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
