Linda Lou Kessler, 78, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Homewood at Plum Creek with her family by her side.
Born on Wednesday, June 13, 1945 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Nevin William and Edith Estella Hyser Myers. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Robert Gary Kessler, who died June 17, 2021. Linda was a 1963 graduate of South West High School, where she was on the National Honor Society, and then received her nursing degree from Polyclinic Nursing School in 1966. She worked for Hanover Hospital and Hanover Hall until her retirement. In her retirement, she raised her children and baby sat for her family and friends. Linda loved cows, cooking, baking, and puzzles to include, crossword, board, and card games. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for being happy and outgoing.
Survivors include her three children, Stacy Keeny and her husband, Keith, Robin Rohrbaugh and her husband, Jeff, and Laura Hershey and her husband, Ronald; 11 grandchildren; Lynette McCarl and her husband, Ricky, Adrian Keeny and his wife, Elizabeth, Kayla Franklin and her husband, Lawrence, Karissa Hershey, and Kyrsten, Katelyn, Brandon, Aaron, Ashley, Jacob, and Jennalyn Rohrbaugh; several great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Myers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover with the Rev. Dan Thomas and the Rev. Ricky McCarl officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
