Leon G. Baker, Sr., 84, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg.
Born on Saturday, May 26, 1934 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Marian Baker Nicholson. Leon was a member of New Hope Faith Community and was a retired employee of PH Glatfelter. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member and Past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2506.
Survivors include his son, Leon G. Baker, Jr. of Elizabethtown; two granddaughters, Samantha and Jennifer Baker; and a step-brother, Harry E. Baublitz of Hanover.
A private service is planned with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
