Lela A. Manger, 94, of Hanover, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center.
Born on Wednesday, August 9, 1922 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Myers, Sr. and Helen Luckenbaugh Myers. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ralph Manger, who died in 2008; a sister, Jean Roth; and a brother, Arthur Myers, Jr.
A 1940 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Lela was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and was an activities volunteer at Hill View and Homewood. An avid reader, she also enjoyed camping, traveling, and gardening. Lela was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include one son, Stephen B. Manger and his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Patricia L. Manger and her companion, Lindy S. Mann; one grandson, Scott A. Manger and his wife, Tiffany, all of Hanover; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private service is planned.
