Visitation: Viewing will be at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Rev. Debby L. Bentch will officiate.
Lawrence E. Siler, 79, of Hanover entered into God's eternal care 7:30 P.M. Monday evening, October 29, 2007 at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Jennet L. Ecker Siler to whom he was married over 53 years. Born in Baltimore, MD on June 3, 1928, he was the son of the late Charles and Maude Davis Siler. Mr. Siler had been employed at W.L. Sterner and Finch Services Inc. as a Mechanic for many years before retiring from the Maintenance Dept. at Value City, Hanover. He was a member of the Hanover Brethren In Christ Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Joyce Holt and husband Harold of Hanover, 2 Grandchildren John Shaffer and wife Meghan, Kimberly Hanna and husband Marc, 3 great grandchildren Jacob Shaffer, Tessa Hanna, Michael Hanna, a brother Walter Siler of New Oxford, 6 sisters Kathryn Gilley, Jennette Hood, Iris Warren all of Baltimore, MD, Ralpha Siler, Zenobia Wine, and Fay Siler all of New Oxford. He was preceded in death by a sister Pearl Siler. A funeral service to remember and celebrate his life will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday morning at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.
